Hey there,

I have an Iworks 09 Pages version whr i save work as a 'Word document'. My other Save As option is 'Iworks 08'. I cannot send this across as an attachments as they do not open, I have to resort to Text Edit. Nor is the PDF option available.

Please help!

hmm, been awhile, but I think you can export the doc, instead of saving, to word and then attach the exported doc. Hope that helps

Hey that worked thank you!

What about templates? How much do they change if converted to word/pdf ?

What about the other way around? When I open a word attachment, it uses text edit. Can I directly use pages?

Thank you!

You can zip/compress the Pages 'files' and they will attach fine to mail.

For opening Word documents (.doc), right click on document, select Other, select Pages and check the box that says "always open with" -- from then on, Pages will become the default program for openign the doc files.

You have to either use EXPORT to .doc or .pdf

Another quick .pdf method for Mac OS X is simply to "Print to pdf" to make a Pages pdf. Print the document and use the save as pdf in the bottom corner.
