Jack OSX Starting Problem

    OK I'm trying to input Music into vent and whenever I press "start" I either Get an Error Saying "cannot start Jack server, Please Check preferences or retry after a system reboot" or "Fatal error has occurred shutting down." and I reinstalled it and Used the default preferences and it came up with the same thing Any help?

    Is it possible you're running this as a non-administrator ?
    I had the same problem.
    I switched user account to an administrative user.
    As that administrator I then started JackPilot,
    and pressed "start" on the display, which succeeded.
    Pressing stop, quiting "JackPilot" as administrator, logging out of administrative account,
    Switching back to the regular user, I could successfully press "start" in (and use) JackPilot and the functionality, and record the output from a program (routed it to the IN from audacity).

    Even after reboot all was still ok.
