Jail-breaking 3GS

just want to be sure before i go ahead and use pwnageTool 3.1.3 to upgrade to 3.1

i have a 3GS with 3.0 firmware that's jailbroken by redsn0w. Is it safe for me to download the Pwnagetool 3.1.3 to upgrade to firmware 3.1 and jailbreak it ?

Yes. I'm using it right now. It only matters what baseband your phone is using, not what firmware it is on. 🙂 And pwnage tool is preventing the baseband update.
