Tried it on the Ipad Mini 4 doesn't work. I'm assuming its just for the later models? like the iphone 6s and 6s plus and the iPad Pro?

no, for some reason the ipad air 2 and ipad mini 4 are excluded from 10.2 like the iphone 7.

so is this a tether jailbreak? I want to update my iphone 6 that's on 8.1 but not if it has to be tether or have to deal with certificate bullcrap expiring like I did with my ipad mini 2.

semi-tethered, you have to re-run the jailbreak app on the device to re-jailbreak when you restart.

Again, if you have a friend with a paid dev account, you can have a 1-year certificate. I've thoroughly tested it with mine by setting the system date to the future); it works just fine.

It's semi-UNtethered, which is way better than semi-tethered because you don't need a desktop to make JB active after a reboot - you can do this all on the iDevice itself.
[doublepost=1485789226][/doublepost]Installed beta6 on my 6s. No problems at all. Will soon do the same with my 5s. (Being a dev, I have tons of iDevices, LOL :) )

No problems either. Now fully restoring (from Yalu alpha) my iPad Pro 12.9 and re-JB'ing with b6.

Right - feel like I'm going to be asking something very silly, but someone else must be wondering this (as they say) so...

With all the betas being released and hopefully a stable version to come - I jailbroke yesterday on an earlier beta - is there any need to update? Phone is working fine, no breakdowns but noticed the Cydia changes are dated from last night still rather than now?

Thanks

No need for updating if all is working, wait to the beta is over

Right, downgraded from 10.2.1 to 10.2.

Now to pluck up the balls to actually Jailbreak  Might give it a few days to see what further safe releases there are!

iPad Air 2 does not successfully jailbreak with Beta 7 :( Anyone else ?

Works fine on my iPhone 6s Plus.

That's it for 10.2, if you didn't downgrade or save your blobs, you're stuck :p
I upgraded my wife's iPhone 6s to 10.2 and also my iPad Pro 9.7 to 10.2.
My iPhone 7 Plus is still at 10.1.1 though.

Okok I'll give it another month.
Sad as iPhone 7 probably has more users since it is a newer device. If no jailbreak releases soon then I might try to find a second hand iPhone 6s Plus running 10.2 and jailbreak that. In the last 2 years the Chinese released jailbreaks. They are very quiet this time.

Looks like I'm staying on 10.1.1. I'll install the b3 tomorrow.
Is beta 3 stable? I saw beta 4-1 available too.
