jailbreak apple tv - beginner here

hi all,

I am very new to this, and just looking for some information before deciding to persuse apple tv and if jailbreak it.

i am not really sure where to start...

my questions are, i have seen that apple tv 3 cant be jailbroken (although all of the posts are quite old - is this still the case?)

is there a way of buying apple tv 2 and jailbreaking it?

is it easy to do? is there anything else i need to do to keep me 'safe'?

Once the device is jailbroken, does it require any further updates going forward etc or can i just leave it and it should always work?

as you can probably tell i am a complete beginner so any advice you can give me is really appreciated.

While it's true you can't Jailbreak an Apple TV3, you can install Plexconnect and gain access to most content, although the process is somewhat difficult.
