Jailbreak iPod Touch 2.0

Hi new here, I have a touch running the firmware 2.0. I was just wondering do I have to downgrade to firmware 1.4 in order to jailbreak it with tools like WinPwn and Pwnage Tool?

you need a mac, and pwnage 2.0.1. follow the directions, and you are done
