So WHY do you have to send it to me? I tought it was real, but just the fact that it has a password means it's fake.

So, what I do now? I can't downgrade, I can't jailbreak, but I want to. Is there one way out or I am permanently stuck?

Dude not for nothing but everyone has told you a million times...there is nothing you can do.

Your options are to stay as is, or use iTunes and upgrade to the latest iOS. There are NO other options.

you can't downgrade your ipod to an early ios version.

you cannot downgrade an ipod touch 5g unless apple is signing the target firmware. Because apple is no longer signing 6.1.2, you cannot downgrade to it.

and i'm telling you, there are no ways to downgrade an a5+ device (like an ipod touch 5g) without itunes because they lack a bootrom exploit.

intell said:
you can't jailbreak it. There is a way to bypass the itunes check thing, but it only works on a4 and older devices. Your ipod touch has an a5 in it and because of that, there is no way to bypass the check.

to reiterate what has already been said (because you don't exactly seem to believe what the other person has explained to you, very well) you cannot jailbreak your device.

Once the newer devices are upgraded, they cannot be downgraded. You are experiencing this when itunes tells you that it is not available for the requested build.

you cannot downgrade, you cannot jailbreak a 5th generation ipod touch running 6.1.3 or above.

It's just that it's hard to me to believe that there is no way out, but I still don't understand why can't I downgrade if I have an A5 chip.

See post #12 in this thread. Your question has already been answered.

Google "limera1n iPhone wiki" and you can learn all about the a4 exploit. The equivalent does not exist for a5+ devices.

I guess a start would be to start believing it. It's a fact and if you don't like it, either don't buy apple products, march to apple's hq and somehow change their minds to let everyone be able to downgrade without going through loopholes, or learn coding and find a flaw in their system in order to perform a downgrade

A5 chips do not have a bootrom exploit, A4 chips do

Bootrom exploit?

Google is your friend. And as states above, limera1n is the "code name" for one of them. Do your own research as you are so reluctant to listen to any of us (you even ignored bumpyflatline's suggestion to research about limera1n)

Great. And now it forces me to go in recovery mode. Damn your stupid Limera1n.

what you talking about? You made my ipod stuck in recovery mode! And do i have to do a damn restore hoping i can still restore from a backup?

You were told that such a thing does not exist for your device. Only person to blame is yourself.

Sorry for that, now I managed getting out of that mode by a simple click on Redsnow. When I have a problem, I get angry. But anyway, at least it works. Really sorry guys.

Hahaha I didn't make you do anything. I told you linera1n would NOT work on your device, as did everyone else who responded in this thread.

There will never be a jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3. The next jailbreak will likely be for a version of iOS 7.

If iOS 6 was released in end 2012, and the jailbreak was released in feb. this year, then I have to wait until February 2014 if iOS 7 come this year. In that case, I update to v.7 and I'm not updating anymore.

Lol

I'll do that, but please don't say stuff like "lol" and other stuff like that.

You may have to wait even longer, if there ever is a jailbreak for iOS 7 on A5+ devices.
