Should I jailbreak my 2G iPod touch? What benefits will i get out of it?

What is the best way to do that? What programs work the best to do so? Would I be able to put iOS 5 on it?

Use greenp0ision to jailbreak it. FakeClockup gives a good speed boost. There are a few custom things that need to be done to increase the battery life. And try new things via Cydia.

iPod touch 2G 8GB IS NOT compatible with iOS5.

It only goes up to 4.2.1 if my memory is correct.

Jailbreak!! Its old and it can use a good old jailbreak with greenpoison. Greenpoison is awesome
