iPhone Jailbreak prevents all OTA updates?

I have heard that the evasi0n jailbreak prevents all OTA updates. Will it also prevent the phone from downloading iOS 8 (once it is available) and taking up storage space with the installer, and putting a badge on the Settings app? Or do I need other tweaks to ensure that is all prevented?

I don't know if it does, but there is a tweak called software update killer that will prevent updates
