iPhone Jailbreak Restore Question

I purchased a new iphone 6 plus last month and it came with ios 8.1.1 which I managed to jailbreak with Taig tool but I am having a problem restoring my iphone 6 plus from the already backed up data from my iphone 5. it does the initial restore copying the contacts, notes etc but it doesn't sync afterwards and doest sync any apps and pictures or whatever I had on my old iphone. I have a rotating sync icon but nothing happens afterwards.

Could it be possible that its not restoring backed up data as apple stopped signing ios 8.1.1 now ? is there any way that I can copy/restore all data from my jb old iphione 5onto the iphone 6 plus running ios 8.1.1? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Restoring stuff from backup has nothing to do with what ios version is currently signed.
It just sounds like your backup file is corrupt.

If there are any crash logs they back up over iCloud, so make sure to do a full restore.

Thank you for letting me know. I originally backup up date through itunes from the iphone 5 running ios 7.1 and now i wanna transfer to iphone 6 plus running ios 8.

So what would be a good way to do a full backup on my iphone 5 and fix the corrupt backup system, just connect through itunes and backup the iphone 5 or do you reccomend me doing through icloud, i dont have much space on my icloud account though. So that i can then restore all that data onto my new iphone 6?

iTunes may be better for you, so just connect your iPhone 5, and re-backup, make sure it completes properly, then connect your iPhone 6 Plus and restore. If this does not work, do an iCloud backup then restore from that. However, you will lose the jailbreak as you have to wipe the phone. Good luck and enjoy your new phone!

Open up itunes.
Go to edit/preferences/devices/ and delete your faulty backup of the iphone 5.
Then plug in the iphone 5 and do a backup again.
Then when done plug in the iphone 6 and restore from that backup of the i5 that you just created.

Just a couple of questions, Is apple still signing the ios 8.2? like if I do the custom ipsw restore to ios 8.2 would it work or I would have to go to the latest ios ?

Also when I restore the backup to the new iphone , how can I restore the apps with it in ios 8 , I heard you have reintall each individual app through iTunes after the initial restore , that way I will lose my old messages thread on whatsapp and viber, anyway to restore the whole phone with all the apps and apps messages ?

No, the only version signed right now is ios 8.3 and that is the only version you can currently restore to.
When you restore from backup it syncs back all the apps and app data and then places the icons where placed before in folders or home screen.
Im not really sure how whatsapp or viber and how they work with backups cause I don't currently use them.
