Jailbreak trouble.

I'm jail breaking my iPhone 5. I followed the instructions online. Turned of passcode, find my iPhone and iCloud. I downgraded iTunes and downloaded taig Ido 8.3

The problem is tiag is stuck on checking jailbreak environment. Iv have searched and tried some online solutions.

Anyone got any ideas of what I can do.
 
Back up your iPhone to iTunes

Restore as new. Be sure NOT to update, just restore as new.

After the restore, leave iTunes open. Jailbreak. If you are using Windows, run the app as an Administrator.

If you are successful disconnect from your computer and run Cydia the first time so it can set things up. Do not upgdate at this time if it mentions that. After it sets up it will quit. Open it again and if there are updates to Cydia, install them.

Once everything is updated, reconnect your phone to your computer and restore from your backup (it won't wipe the jailbreak or Cydia).
 
Why taig 8?
If you are trying to jb on iOS 9.0.2 you need pangu 9 instead.


If you are in 8 the. Either change the cable or the computer.

It is old iPhone I don't use anymore because I got an upgrade to iPhone 6, put the 5 I a drawer and haven't used it sense.
iPhone hasn't been updated for months. I did reset it but 8.3 was on it before I reset the phone.
 
put ios 6.1.3 on it :cool:

try deleting your itunes and install itunes 12.0.1

while you are at it ( if the jailbreaking is done ) search for beehind ( downgrade tool )

Based on new information that may be possible with an iPhone 5 now. But it's early yet so I don't have any details.

I did down grade iTunes but not sure how to check it worked.
When you say delete iTunes you mean from my laptop.
Will I lose all my music?
Also how do I select and put iOS 6.1.3 on iPhone.
 
if you don't have a lot of experience based on IOS I wouldn't downgrade

make sure you run TAIG as admin
 
Managed to downgrade iTunes. Worked fine. Jail breaking now. Better be worth the trouble.

Iv managed to download a movie and open it in Ifile

Is there and easy way to transfer movie from Ifile to laptop?

Iv saved the movie to the camera roll on the phone. How do I get this to the laptop?

iTunes, imazing on a mac, or whatever pc app similar.

Is there an app on Cydia to convert from .avi to MP4.

Googled it but can't find recommended ones on Cydia.

Just use iTunes. Import it, select it, right click and convert to AAC. Right click on it again and go to the file location. You'll have an MP4.

Move it where you want and then delete it out of the iTunes library.
