Hey guys, I have recently jailbroken my iPad Air 16gb using pangu, all went well and was running fine, and I discovered a great tweak called swipe selection, after having my device jail broken for a few days I decided I needed to restore my ipad from my last backup, (which was before jailbreak.) the ipad went back to how it was, running fine and no cydia app installed, BUT after a day I realised that the swipe selection tweak is still working! How is this possible?

It isn't possible. Either you didn't restore properly or your device was jailbroken again and it was reinstalled.

I backed up my ipad before I jailbroke it, as always recommended, and I restored from that backup, it went through the whole process of the back up, but this swipe selection is still working!

----------

My cydia is gone, and also my photos and apps that had been deleted after the back up, came back after restore which means the restore clearly worked, I honestly can't figure it out

It's possible that you simply restored from the backup and not restored iOS leaving the device still jailbroken.

Because those apps aren't in Springboard's icon state plist causing them to not show up. Restore your device again in iTunes making sure it restores it properly.

Ok thanks heaps for your replys, just wondering though how I am supposed to restore properly I figured there was only one way, my ipad even did the whole black screen saying "restore in progress"

Yes, then once iTunes is done it'll prompt you to restore from a back. Just select any of your backups and it will restore your media and settings.

Ohhh ok thanks heaps guys! Just assumed a restore would take it back to how it used to be! But that makes more sense! Cheers!

Same problem

I'm having the same problem with multiple tweaks still working. I've tried the restore option (not the restore from backup option) and I don't get the usual "new phone" prompts when it's done. Any suggestions?
