Jailbreak/unlock a 4.0.2 3GS?

Is there any way to jailbreak/unlock a virgin 3GS on 4.0.2?

3GS is from mid 2009. I can't seem to find any conclusive answer to whether or not it's possible! Holding off on loading 4.1 as it doesn't appear that is breakable either at this time.

damn! should I bother upgrading to 4.1 or just wait and see what comes out of tomorrow's releases? Any hope for me?
