Can some one please help. I have been at this for days, I have downloaded both programs and downloaded the fix so that my MBP can see my iPhone in DFU mode, then followed all the steps and Boom iTunes tells me that there is a ipod in recovery mode please diconnect an reboot the device in order to read it. I also rebooted my MBP right after the install of the isousb fix could it be that I downloaded the newer version if it is can someone tell me how to delete it so that I can download the 10.5.5 version instead thank you.

If you're on a Unibody, then nothing can help you. I am on a Unibody, so I had to use my wifes Whitebook to do the DFU quickpwn.

I have tried all the fixes that the Dev team suggests, and nothing helps on my UMB.

Get you a usb hub and it will work. Are you using quickpwn or pwnage tool? I never could get pwnage tool to work right but quickpwn worked flawlessly. The 10.5.5 downgrade screwed all other usb devices in my comp and my genius (mac genius that is) friend had to do a complete erase and install of leopard.

Make sure it's a "powered" USB hub....

I used Pawnage and powered USB hub with my Mac laptop running 10.5.6. Went very easy.

Would it not be easier to just use a different computer, running Windows or another version of OS X?

14 inch white laptop, got it used, guess it's an iBook, does that sound right.
