Jailbreaking 2g iPhone with redsnow?

I been trying to Jb my 1st gen iPhone with redsnow for the last couple of days .... Just trying to open it up to use as an iPod until I want to activate it..... I can't finish because it's not taking my ipsw... Does anyone have any ideas around this ?

If the iPhone is on 3.1.3, you have to point the correct version of redsn0w to the 3.1.2 IPSW. The jailbreak is the exact same for the two versions.

iclarified.com has tutorials and links to download IPSW, should you need to just download another copy.
