Jailbreaking 3GS without using Lock Button?

Hey guys.. Well my girlfriend's old iPhone 3GS was just laying around in my desk, and she said i can have it since she has the new 4. (i have the iPhone 4 too) I just want to mess with this for fun, and well the Lock button at the top doesn't work.. I don't know what she did to it.. she dropped the phone for some time, but nothing major. The lock button doesn't work and I want to jailbreak it..

Is there a way to jailbreak the Phone without using the HOME+LOCK method?

It has iOS4.1

I don't think u can.
You need to put your phone in dfu to run the exploit. No power button, no dfu mode, no jb.
U can get the button fixed for around $60 probably.

Oh dang... that sucks... any other suggestions from other people?
If nothing comes up.. man i think i'll just let it be... no jb... :/
