So, I know what the upside of Jailbreaking is but what, if any are the downsides?

    many other threads on this...

but the only thing that ever really bothered me was the tedious process whenever a new OS update came out - wait for the update to be jailbroken, go through the 20 minute jailbreaking process, then having to reload all my hacks and whatnot.

That would have been more convincing if it wasn't immediately following a post mentioning some of the downsides.

There is nothing that will permanently destroy your phone but a few minor update inconveniences and if you have a newer iphone you have go through the tether jailbreak.

downside.... you may become overly addicted to your iphone. you know those people who look at iphone owners like "whats the big deal?". then you jailbreak it and spend hours upon hours with it in your hand.

wait.... thats a good thing :)
