Hey guys, seeking some advice want to unlock and jailbreak an Iphone 2g 3.1.2 Baseband 04.05.04_G. Can someone point me to the best guide to get this done?

Looked through the pwnage guide and it seemed not best suited.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Im having issues, I put the phone in recovery mode and then in itunes I restored to iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore

Ok then I attempted to use Blackrain, I did the Windows XP compatibility thing and it gave an error. Downloaded blackbreeze and then it was stuck on Geohot's face. Reset the iphone and now blackrain is stuck on Waiting for Device.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Krafty, can you point me to where I can find a windows version of the pwnage tool for my firmware?

In the meanwhile I keep trying to use blackrain and have restored the firmware several times, I close itunes but as soon as blackrain reaches the "entering recovery" phase it opens itunes and gets stuck on entering recovery.

    Im going insane here.

chargit thanks a lot! spirit jailbroke it quickly and without an issue on my Vista laptop was giving some issues on my XP desktop.

Do you have any suggestions now on how to unlock it?

Install and run BootNeuter from Cydia. iClarified has a tutorial.
