Jailbreaking issue

I have an iphone 3GS ios4.2.1 and tried to jailbreak with reds0w,but when it says exploiting with limera1n it stucks,freezes at half process.I'am running Windows 7 but already set redsn0w compatibility to XP and run it as adm.
Please Help

You might want to try greenpoison. Some people have discovered if they don't have luck with one, they have luck with the other.

as of today redsnow is the only option to JB a 3gs with 4.2.1. but there is supposed to be updates this Sunday according to MuscleNerd. Greenp0ison will not work with a 3gs on 4.2.1
