Jailbreaking the iPhone 3GS... Will it be possible?

Does anyone know. When will we find out. Where should I look?

I really want to jailbreak it. There's a lot of great stuff like tethering and mms that jailbroken phones can do the the 3GS still can't!
 
Giving time

most likely just have to give programmers time. seriously ask your self how many software programs are unhackable! ;)
 
Hope for the best; expect the worst

The iPod Touch 2G took quite a long time to jailbreak, so I would suggest not holding your breath.

Eventually, just as the touch took time, so will this new iPhone.
 
If I cant jailbreak it I dont even want to get one.
I'd stick with my 3G till a jailbreak comes out for it.
I like to use my Sling over 3G, Tether once in a great while without having to pay AT&T $70 plus many other advantages over stock.
 
I jailbroke my 3G but then set it back to standard ( i was afraid of it tearing up or something.) But i can only imagine how well those emulators will run with twice the power behind them :D

If you go and read up on the Dev that discovered that, he clearly states that Apple could circumvent this type of hack.


I'm not saying the 3GS will never be hacked, it's just gonna take a different set of tools this time.
