JailbreakMe to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 won’t be released, Why ? Comex, the famous iPhone and iPad jailbreak developer has left the jailbreak community. This is bad news for all those people who were waiting for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak. Because he was the guy behind the only iPad 2 jailbreakavailable yet. He mentioned in a tweet that he will not work for any iOS jailbreak tool development.

Comex has released many popular iPhone jailbreak tools such as SpiritJB, JailbreakMe 2.0 and than JailbreakMe 3.0. It was released for iPad2 running iOS 4.3.3 and a security hole in Safari browser lead the developer to this jailbreak trick. Ever since, iPhone 4S is released many people are waiting for its jailbreak.

As now Comex will not be available so most probably, the untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 / 5.0 on iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and all other iDevices may come from iPhone Dev-team or Chronic Dev-team (Redsn0w, Greenpois0n, PwnageTool or etc.). The main reason Comex has left working for jailbreak might be because he has starting working as an internee in Apple. So don’t expect any solution for untethered 5.0.1 jailbreak from Comex.

I would say it.s safe to say comex won't be working on jailbreaks for a while, If at all. Apple now has a very smart backer intern that knows what all the other hackers are looking for. If your Apple trying to secure your ios why would you let him go?
