jailbreakme.com will not work

Can someone please help me im new at this. Ok this is what I have done and the web site will not work for me.
1. Down graded to 1.1.1
2. The popup blocker is off
3. made sure that the firewall is off
4. In the safari I go to jailbreakme.com and click on appsnapp link

When I do that it crashes like it should but nothing downloads. I've been doing this now for two days now tring to get it but cant. Can someone please instruct a dumb a** on what im doing wrong. Or is there another way to get appsnapp? Any help will be grateful.

Why don't you upgrade to 1.1.4 and use several of the more modern and updated methods? I highly recommend it.

thats the thing i thought i was doing the right thing but nothin. i dont know what the heck i need to be doing. anyone please help.😀

I would use iTunes to restore it to 1.1.4 and then use pwnage tool or winpwn (depending what you're on) to jailbreak it. It'll be: a) more reliable and b) you'll get the new gmaps, bug fixes, etc...
