Jailbroken i4 with 4.0.1 seems stuck upgrading to 4.1

Upgrades take time, JB or not JB they take time. You are installing a new operating system basically.... not just installing an Application.

I had the same problem today on my 3G... Spent hours rebooting/ respringing with no luck. Finally d/l and restored 4.01 firmware... Used Jailbreakme.com to rejailbreak. Then of course I had to reinstall all my Apple/ JB apps. If you can restore to 4.01 you can j/b, 4.1 wont allow you to j/b.

try using a windows machine? i was having trouble with my mac then i did it on bootcamp and it worked fine.

i did reinstall the itunes 10 then i had an error 1004 probably because of my hosts. but i have a recboot so it did the job.

When you get the 1004 error, that is when you use TinyUmbrella to kick the phone out of recovery mode. That is supposed to show that error at the end.

im all set. recboot did the job. my baseband is still intact and no changes
