Yeah well I used that term lightly. It basically rendered my iPhone unuseable. DFU restoring as new back to stock iOS fixed the problem though.

Exactly...so there was never a problem. Any informed JBer always knows that if anything goes wrong, then the sure fix is to restore and reJB. Hence, bricking = impossible.
