I got this on my first day of achieving my goals today. Looks like I will get it every day in January from what it said. I think this is fay one of the 7 day workout challenge. This is on my 6S+ and I never got the accomplishment early on this phone like I did on my 7+ and like everyone else did as well.

It’s not much of a challenge, asking you to hit your exercise goal once in the month of January. Don’t think you’ll get it everyday though: you’ve achieved your challenge for January, you have the badge to prove it and that’s it until February.

My January challenge was initially to average 742 (I think, I know it was roughly that figure) calories a day on my Move ring; next time I looked it had changed to earning at least 1,229 exercise minutes this month (virtually exactly the same as my December challenge, just phrased as a total rather than a daily average).

There are definitely teething problems with these challenges but your January one does seem particularly unchallenging!

Yeah I realized today after I closed all my rings that my January challenge was just a one day thing. It's really stupid. Thanks for the reply.

You must not move much or exercise really low to have a challenge that easily. Challenges for the Watch are usually averages of previous months plus somethig extra (10% up to 20%) to make you work it.

I'm averaging about 650 calories per day which is why this makes no sense. I walked 6 miles yesterday alone.

December was also my first month of completing all the rings except for the first three days of the month. Some days, I got 20,000 steps in.

i just opened up my apple watch on new years eve and right out of the box my January challenge was to close the move ring every single day the entire month. ok, challenge accepted but i'm surprised i got something like that as a new user and others get something so much easier it seems to achieve. challenges and achievements have a lot of issues from what I've seen.

The challenge to close the Move ring happens every month for every user. The challenge under discussion here is different: it's a personalised challenge that is usually set as something challenging but achievable rather than the somewhat unchallenging target set in this case.

Same thign here. As soon as January 1st came, my 2018 "Ring in the New Year" Challenge appeared as completed. Odd.

Anyone interested in some friendly competition/motivation? I found this app called Rove, that will allow users to compete like Fitbit does. I have already created a team, but I don’t know anyone personally that uses Apple Watch. If anyone here is interested, download the app, create your account (all free) and then give me your email address and I’ll send you an invite. :)

Sounds fun. I enjoyed something similar to this with Garmin before I got my Apple Watch. PM'd my email address.
