Not if you put, say, 10 on a page, and had 20 pages of them...LOL
ROTFLMAO! :)

Just for you, I am putting up a preview page of all the Desktop backgrounds. Note that the full sized pics are on the Desktops-Files page. The Desktops-Preview page is now ready to be viewed, as I just finished uploading all the individual pics with Transmit.

I liked Transmit so much, I just paid for a Shareware license. Cool program!

I need something to cheer me up after my day so i made this

I actually like that a lot better. It only took like 12 seconds to load all the thumbnails, and I'm on my crappy work computer. That is a great way to let people see all the desktops at once, and choose the one they like the best.

As I mentioned before, you could also make a page 1, page 2, page 3, etc. and out 10-25 on each page. That is the way most desktop sites do it.

Either way, it looks a lot better.

Does anyone know what program I must use to edit my MacBook icon so I can put the appropriate desktop picture in like this?

I tried photoshop but I couldn't open the icon.

For the mac HD, all you need to do is go to get info in then contextual (right click) menu, and click on the icon in the upper left of that box. You can paste whatever icon you want into that.

Changed it up...

After seeing all the links - I found another one I liked (and modified for my tastes...)

What program(s?) do you guys use to create icons with... I've looked around the internet for something, I even own a Photoshop its one of the newer additions but.

Basically say I've got a stock Icon of Preview and I want to put my wallpaper in the little picture how would I go about doing that and saving it in an icon form. Thanks a lot. :)

You can make it in Photoshop, just save it as a 128x128 72ppi image (I had trouble with Fireworks wanting to make it some other weird resolution, so I always double-check that), and then use Icon Composer in the Developer Tools that are on your install CD's. Just drag and drop the pic into each slot. You can also make slightly different versions for each size (16x16, 32x32, and 48x48), and drop those on there too. That'll create a .icns file, and you can either use CandyBar to apply it, or just replace the preview.icns file that's contained in the Preview.app package.

Can someone please tell me how to get a picture of a Macbook Pro to be where the Hardrive picture is??? I have tried using search but for some reason I can't get it to work. Is there a good place to find icons that are cool? And how do I put them on the computer once I download them?

1) Find an icon you like (if you've seen one here, PM the poster and ask if s/he'll share it or the link for it, if not, then icons, screensavers, etc. over at Mac OS X downloads (accessible from your Apple menu) is a good place to start).
