All these people using Leopard... what do you guys do about incompatibilities with apps? I'm particularly worried about Word. Has kept me from upgrading.

Mine. Still got 110 mins to go though.

EDIT: Yeah I know it should be a screenshot. I can't figger out how to do that on a Windies box! (I know there is a key, but I have 2 monitors, so..)

I think it's the "print screen" button slightly above and to the left of the number pad.

But when I was on Windows, I used this. Much more versatile.

Eh....just posted this about 3 days ago but since it is 'gonna be a new month *and* a new year in short order I figure I'll post it one more time. BTW.....great desktops everyone and Happy New Year!

Finally upgraded to Leopard. I love it! :)

Chances are I'll change the background sometime in the month. Just don't feel like doing it now though. Yay for laziness.

Hey Clevin.....are you 'gonna put a RIP over that animated Netscape icon? LOL

Sorry, probably a bad joke but I couldn't resist.

Well recent-ish switchers like me have no Apps or have bought their apps when people were already prepping up for Leopard. Like me, I switched in August/September and have slowly been building up my app collection since then, purchasing as I go along. I have, for example, CS3 not CS2 because CS2 is no longer being supported, so with the choice I went for CS3 (HUGE educational discount - Score for the younger switcher! lol) and since people like me have no Mac compatible apps from before, we just get the new stuff which is already Leopard compatible or being worked on to make it Leopard compatible.
Personally, I've encountered one application problem and that's Adium not logging into MSN. So I downloaded Messenger for Mac and used that (which is buggy and horrible, and soon ended up uninstalled again :p Thankfully, there are other options available). Other than that, I've had nothing.

But for seasoned Mac users, the problems will probably be quite plentiful. I'm making a guess that you'll probably run into a few problems, but Leopard is pretty well supported and most of your apps should be fine. And if worst comes to the worst, you can always use an alternative - for Word, you can temporarily use TextEdit which handles .doc files reasonably well until a patch or new version comes along (I've been using TextEdit for most of my school work in the past few months since I can't afford iWork - It's reasonable. Beggars can't be choosers.) but maybe someone will be able to confirm whether or not it works on their Leopard for you so that you can know whether or not upgrading is going to mess everything up for you :)

Happy new year

I am ordered a new amp and am obviously more than a bit excited.

I think I may have to retract that statement. Link please?

Here you go. It is not wide screen, so just center it and match the borders with the color of the background.
