£12.99 to upgrade my Touch into an mobile email device is excellent value for money.

I have no problem with it all.

The other apps/features are a bonus.

Well, mobile email device if you are near an unsecured hotspot which I never seem to be :(

well what ill try to do , is to change the country of the Itunes store(at the prefs.)
Hopefully i just need to pay the 20$ and not the 17.99€ =26$

will tell you if it worked... .
and tell you later on...

*later on*
Well it worked just fine, I can just recomand it.
Open up new iTunes account and set it to the US. U can use the same Credit Card. just use a new email add.(that ain't be the prob!)

and update the new stuff.

There are no shipping costs etc., so why is it £12.99 ($25.44) to UK customers?

Because you are paying in GBPs, which is currency you earn and spend in your country, not US dollars. How much would it be in Polish zloty? Does it matter?

You also pay 17.5% VAT, which we do not.

Although a lot of credit cards charge a fee when you spend in anything other than GBP and the exchange rates are often much higher than the high street. I'd be interested to know exactly how much shows up on your CC statement.
