Is anyone else having problems launching LimeWire after the Update? My icon looks like it bounces once and then disappears. I tried to set my Java settings back to default and restart but nothing changed.

Try downgrading to LimeWire 4.10. It works for me.

This update killed LimeWire for me, too. I had been running v.5.1.2. Bummer this happened. Looks like I will have to try FrostWire. Thanks to those who suggested it.

You've been watching too many Apple ads on TV. "Rebooting all the time" hasn't been an issue for a long time.... ;)

I had to reboot my WinXP machine ALL THE TIME. Maybe you have some magical copy of Windows I don't know about, but all the machines I use at work are still XP, and require at least 2 reboots per day (if I want to print or go online for any length of time).

Well I run XP on my Macbook ;) 5 days a week online all day at work. In six months with my unibody MB and six more months with my black Macbook before that I've seen 3 BSODs total. That's three unplanned reboots in a year.

These are not viruses, they are Trojans. Trojans require the user to actively install the malware on his or her system. The bottom line is that you shouldn't install software from an untrusted site.

But I trust my porn site. lulz

Oddly, reinstalling simply by recopying the app fixed it.

Reporting that NetBeans also seems to have broken after this update. Manually editing the configuration file, and telling it to use JDK 6, fixes it, at least on Intel Macs.
