Hmm, I wasn't able to download the first Java update a couple months ago, but I am able to download this one. I have a Core Duo MB...

Installing now...

I don't really know why, but I really enjoy installing updates! :D I think it's because I enjoy seeing version numbers go up. :)

Me too. I have become a VersionTracker junkie, its pathetic. Oooo, shiny new Camino build ;)

For some reason I am unable to install this Java update. My internet connection is working like normal... I have restarted twice. Any ideas?

This is the error message I am receiving.

"The update "Java For Mac OS X 10.5 Update 2" can't be installed."

A networking error has occurred: Cannot open file (-3001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.

:confused::confused:

Try downloading and manually installing the update. Get it here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/javaformacosx105update2.html

Sometimes the network/Apple's servers get busy and drop the download to Software Update, causing updates to fail.

I still don't seem to be able to install this Java update (at about 40% complete it hangs), and now my browsers like Firefox and Safari can't display Java applets?

I get the following error message:

Install Failed
The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the manufacturer for a replacement.

:confused:

Please help

I've installed this update at least 5 times, but it still comes up in my software update everytime it runs, so i'm guessing it never really installs. :confused: If anyone can please help me i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
