Hi All

When I open Java Prefs general what do I need to type into the box in Options to raise the amount of memory allocated Java, and are there rules to be followed depending on the amount of machine memoery ?

Thanks

PS: Sorry about typo in title 🙁

You should never have to manage memory for Java, it does it itself with the Mac OS X memory manager. Why do you want to do this?

Never ever had to play with this before but since SL I had real problems running
Java script apps getting slow downs and lock ups, also whilst running java apps
I have been getting Kernal Panics.

Read somewhere today that if Java Apps are running slow/choppy or locking up then
go into Java prefs and allocate memory.

I really hope 10.6.2 fixes all this rubbish....
