I updated my Mac OS X 4.11 with Java release 9 a week ago (using the usual software update from the Mac menu), and now I can't access some sites (mainly Megaupload). I tried loading them on Windows XP and they showed up there--they're not cached. I tried using Safari 4.0 and the latest versions of Opera and Firefox for Mac, but I still either get a "failed to open page" error, or the page just keeps on downloading with nothing showing up.

Since I've tried using different browsers, I'm assuming that the problem is Java. Is there something wrong with my Java 9 settings? I didn't change anything when I installed it.

I was thinking of reinstalling my OS with my old CD, but it seems to tedious to update my OS again and reinstall all of my third party applications.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Your problem has nothing to do with Java. If you eliminate www from the URL, then you will be fine.
