Java support? school wifi

Hey,

Is there anyway for the iPad to support java? My schools wifi requires every connection to do a computer scan using java, of which doesn't work on the iPad. Is this possibld what so ever?

I can see why here is no education discount. Students would be pissed when they realize they can't use it for school really, just to type a paper and take some notes. Maybe in june this thing will get fixed.

To be fair- this is probably independent to my college. I'm sure it works fine at other colleges.

My college just requires a HTML form login with your student number and password. I would talk to the college IT department and see if they can implement a new login system.
