The issue isn't the presence of competition but rather, that of meaningful competition.

Not at all unlike the current state of the tablet market today. Tons of options available, yet for all intents and purposes, the iPad is the only model which matters.

Garmin is still a better product for tracking my workouts. Sorry, but Apple just can't hold a candle to them yet. I doubt they will get pushed out and with the Fenix 5, they are now offering lots of choices like Apple. I doubt it will ever be "just Apple".

That's the thing - Garmin does only health-tracking well, and nothing else. They will never be able to offer the same features as the Apple Watch. I think that eventually, people will wanted the added utility that only the Apple Watch can provide, and they will be willing to sacrifice a bit of health-tracking functionality to get it.

Awesome sleep tracking for 10 hours so in the morning when you wake up it's pretty much dead and you have to charge it and not even use it as a watch. on the other hand it's just heavy and a big fat pos.

I use my AW to track sleep (Pillow app) and it uses about 4-5% at the most. You really have no clue what you are talking about...

Had the Fenix 3 for 3 years now and not had a problem getting messages on it, tracking my activities and the best of all, telling time!

Also, Garmin handles my activities a lot better than the Apple watch can do at this time and the watch is still tied to the phone for a lot of things. The Fenix is stand alone....

As an athlete, I prefer Garmin over Apple and don't see them going away anytime soon.

My experiences with the Pebble left me partially frustrated with the overall lack of integration with iOS. For example, I could view incoming messages and emails but couldn't respond to them from my watch. I still had to take out my phone if I wanted to do anything meaningful. With my Apple Watch, I can use Siri to dictate a new message or respond with a canned response on Telegram. I can also archive and delete mail directly from my wrist. I know it's not their fault but it further reinforces my belief that if you want the full smartwatch experience to go with your iPhone, the Apple Watch is the one to get.

Again, that is what works for you and are not features that I need. The device I need is one that I can cycle/hike/run with that can take the abuse of a crash (MTB crashes happen) and I don't have to worry about other devices. Apple makes a fine device, but it is still no competition for a Garmin when it comes to sports. What works for you does not determine what works for others... If Apple get serious about fitness, then maybe they will be the end all of watches but until then. Garmin is it.

Why cant you admit your failing to influence anyone of your consistent negative rhetoric on here? Looking at your post history, you Chastise anything Apple related. Anything. Again, your consistent Apple bashing isn't influencing anyone away from anything. I thinks it's a safe bet your snide behavior is becoming of you.

It must really bother you when are others are extremely content with their Apple products. It doesn't mean we need to share your negative demeanor. Try the Airpods or Apple Watch. You might actually like them.
Looks like you didn't really look at my history at all. I love apple, well used to love but their products have been nothing but disappointment since 3 years. Some people are sadly just too blinded by their fandom that they can't see the truth. I did try the apple watch and it's nothing more than a gimmick.

It doesn't matter what the reason for buying the Android tablet might be for someone, what matters is that they buy it instead of an iPad. And if price alone is a reason then they are a demographic Apple will never get.

That's never been a demographic Apple has shown to want. To use an oversimplified analogy, Apple is Neiman Marcus, not Walmart; there's a place for both but you don't try to *be* both simultaneously.

Or you allow technology to affect your bitter attitude, where you attempt to spread hate on these threads over successful products, spewing inconsistencies and ill-sighted anecdotal opinions, which are incorrect about the Apple Watch (You listed falsehoods on the Watch in above posts) In short, it was a failed attempt on your behalf. Moving on.

Oh, And I'm loving my new Pro, while wearing my Airpods and Apple Watch. Bliss.

I don't really consider this a legitimate excuse. It's not that much of an inconvenience to have an extra charger when traveling. To me, look how far technology has granted us convenience with not having to carry spare batteries, bulky charging bricks and cases for example.

These cables are easy to pack and slim lined, with the Apple Watch charger being no exception. The only issue someone could raise, is "I can't seem to remember or I forgot to pack." And that excuse is self inflicted.

Thank you for mentioning even more reasons. I left a couple of iPhone chargers in hotels. Dont even remember how often I forgot chargers or dongles at home while travelling.

So yeah I personally value a 5 or 10 day battery life a lot. The Jawbone UP24 lasts 10 days. You will never go back to less once you experienced such a battery life.

Which again, is your own mistake because you can't take accountability for your property. Leaving something behind because it's an extra item to carry is not an excuse over battery life, which is a benefit to have. But, That puts you in a category of someone who is complacent.

To bad Jawbone abandoned their customers the way they did. It's not an example to set and certainly not a company I would support. Not answering or returning phone calls for customers inquiries is unacceptable. I'm not saying they made a poor product, but obviously their product doesn't suffice over their customer service.

There will always be a market for fitness bands. There are plenty of people who will not wear a made in China timepiece and need or want fitness tracking capabilities.

I'm sorry man if I was rude, I had smoked some weed and y'all just seem always serious.

My bad
Even at tournaments, NONE of them wear Apple Watch.

Laugh all you want, at least I know how to use a weapon while you "Tapsturbate" on iOS all day.

Why do you take it personally when I say a ten day battery life is something convenient? LOL

You're able to gauge what I take personally based off an internet post? I don't think your assumptions are working out to well for you.

And....you're missing my point. I'm not interested or referring to Jawbones battery life, which indicates you're not reading what I wrote, besides interjecting a snide assumption.

You mentioned the inconvenience of carrying extra charging cables with you. I made a sub point stating it's not an inconvenience based on someone who is complacent or self inflicted because of memory. My point was and is it' not an issue to pack a 3 Meter cable in a travel bag. You made it sound as if it was such a travesty that you have cables to carry.

And being this topic is straying, I originally quoted you on the abysmal service Jawbone subjected their customers too. Unacceptable and serves them accordingly.

If you chose to respond, please respond with something relevant, not with some one liner meme "Lol" remark. It cheapens the debate. Thanks.
