As much as this guy thinks himself as important, nobody really cares about him.

He has a near $1 billion net worth. You and the 5 people who liked your comment should probably know that more than handful of people care about him, and probably not so much about any of you.

Aside from his gorgeous wife, kids, extended family, and millions of fans. But hey I’m sure you can compete with that.

Thanks for making the effort to let’s us all know how disinterested you are.

ITT: People who are hating hard on someone with a massively greater level of success than them.

EDIT: @Kaibelf my comment on your quote was supporting your statement, though the reply structure makes it look otherwise xD

Heard the album ... It's not a typical album. It's more like an AudioBook spoken over beats. Kind of like Jay just wanted to release some steam.
That actually sounds interesting in concept. What did you think of the execution?

I'd consider myself a Jay Z fan, although I stopped giving him a dime a long time ago.

With that said, I find it hilarious that he has a verse that is basically anti-Apple music yet his new album will arrive on Apple Music (and probably make him more money there) in a week.
Money turns anyone into a hypocrite.

He's jelly because Apple didn't bought Tidal. Not easy playing hard to get when you don't have something special to offer (since Apple already bought Beats).

Yeah I’m going to ditch my old provider, cancel Apple Music/Spotify (losing al my favourites and playlists), enter in to a multi-year contract with Sprint and subscribe to Tidal... all so that I can hear Jay-Z’s new album one week earlier than I otherwise would have been able to.

All that time, money and energy sounds totally worth it.

Is there an article for every new album on Apple Music or just jay z's crap music?

There's way more people who do not like his music than the couple million who buy the trash.

I don't like Jay-Z or Tidal but you have to give him props for standing up for musicians and artists by owning such a service. Services run by musicians for musicians are always a better combination than someone like apple or Spotify who just want to go lowest common denominator and shift volume! I'm close to cancelling my Apple Music subscription now, the only reason is the encrypted files and how little freedom you get with the service, you are locked into it and apple and even iTunes as the files won't play in anything else, not really what I would consider right imho.

Dude, he did not do this for "artists". thats the brand he is trying to portray for tidal, just like apple brands itself as a lot of things its not, to sell more products.

its all about money. JayZ believed at the time that he could buy tidal for 50m and hopefully it would become the next billion dollar valuated streaming service so he could resell at a massive profit.

Just listen to his new rap, it litterally talks about how he makes his money by taking risks buying things like art for 1 million, a few years later, it being worth 8 million, etc etc. the whole rap is him bragging about he got rich and keeps getting rich.

you know, because he humble like dat

What's the value of these "one-week exclusives", are people that impatient? their attention spans that short?

I wouldn't listen to the album if it was available in Apple Music right now, so I care even less if it is available a week from now. People can pirate his album anyway if they really want to listen to it. Jay-Z is just throwing revenue away.

Seriously though...everyone thinks that Tidal is some sort of godsend. Even other artists have called Tidal out because of the whole "we care about the small artists" thing is total BS and the whole making things exclusive just causes people to pirate or buy a CD copy. It's like a corrupt charity that barely donates any money to its "cause" while the executives get a big pay day. Sprint, the king of poor management decisions, bought a stake in the company instead of investing in their unstable network....that should tell you something

Remember when Taylor Swift boycotted Spotify? Guess who's back on Spotify now lol. Not that she was hurting but it's funny how she made her whole "don't screw over the small guy" spiel but I guess a couple million more in revenue and she doesn't care as much. I knew zero people (who fall into her demographic) who left Spotify for Apple Music.

I loved Beyonce before she got mixed up with him. She got kind of weird afterwards with all that faux (or real?) occult ancient gods goddess stuff they got going on now. Some of the light and personality left her eyes, too.

She's been with him since well before first solo album released, which was in 2003. Her image/music style/message didn't really change until 2013. Your analysis is uneducated. And many people in these comments may not value these particular artists like, for instance, those outside your "community" value them and their views on society, as well as their contributions to it.
