Jaybird X(1-3) wingtips

Is it normal for people to use these without the wingtips, I feel like the wingtips add nothing to these (not like the Bose silicon wings.

Anyone else use their Jaybirds without the wingtips?

Personally I've needed to use the wingtips on the Jaybird X and X2s its only with the better fitting X3s that I've stopped using the wing tips.
