iPod touch JB 1.1.3 frozen...

i just JB'd my touch yesterday, and i've installed maybe 3 programs on it. i installed iphysics and a couple of level packs. anyway, i was just playing a level pack today, but i had to go do something, so i just left it sitting on the table. when i came back, the level was on the screen, but the screen was dimmed all the way down, and it's completely unresponsive. i tried holding down the home and sleep buttons to restore, but it won't. am i screwed? how could this happen? i hardly did anything... damn it. i'm just going to let it sit for a while and maybe it will restart itself? i have the worst luck.

did you try and restore the settings in itunes??

after holding down all the buttons for a few minutes, it finally restarted. it seems fine now... only thing is, it won't show up in itunes. what's the deal with that? is there some way i can tell iTunes to "search for ipods" or something so it finds it??
