JB for iPhone 4 on 5.0.1...yes or no?

You can also install Semi tether from the big boss after jailbreak so you can reboot it away from your computer and still be able to use the basic function of your phone until you get home to boot it tethered with Redsn0w. I found this very useful.

Oh. Darn. There's no simple one click method anymore I suppose. I JB'd my old iPhone 3S before selling it and that was easy. Seems more complex these days 🙁

Nope, with every new iphone and firmware version Apple makes JB harder and unlocking even more.
The old iphone 2G and 3G JB days are over since Apple stepped up their game with Shsh blobs and other security checks.
