JB'd iPhone 2G w/ 3.1.2 restore

Hi all,

I've tried searching for this with little clear indication on whether this can be done without issue, but I'm wondering how difficult it is to take the backup from a jailbroken iPhone 2G running 3.1.2 and restore it onto a jailbroken 3GS with 4.1 without fouling up the jailbreak and most importantly, the ultrasn0w unlock.

Thanks in advance for any advice on how/whether this can/should be done.

To clarify, I have a backed up 2G/3.1.2 that I want to restore onto an unlocked 3GS/4.1.

Also, I'm not overly concerned about Cydia, if that gets lost. I just want the unlock to stick.

You should never restore the data from one phone to another, especially a different firmware version.
