I know the text is very hard to read so lets zoom in a lil...

Whatever happened to that iPhone killer the Palm Pre? All I heard for months was that the iPhone was in SERIOUS TROUBLE now that the Palm Pre was released...
This reminds me of the old iPod days when every other week there was the ULTIMATE iPod KILLER released...

There is plenty of room in the smartphone market for several nice phones...
The iPhone isn't going away anytime soon...Also, the Droid has had it's share of problems, as has the Nexus One and the Evo...none of these phones are problem free to their entire user base...

That's marketing for ya. WE (the complainers) gave them the ammo... they just used it.

As much as I think a real-world problem for a small number of people has been blown way out of proportion, the people marketing other smartphones would be stupid not to take advantage of it.

What does Jesus Christ have to do with this?

Stupid thread title.

Wah. It's an exclamation. Get over it.

It's high time Apple gave the other companies something to bag on them about. First it was AT&T. Everyone recall Verizon's "Island of Misfit Toys" commercial?

I really find the Droid X one of the ugliest cellphones ever made. It just looks boring to me and the small buttons on the bottom seem useless... Not speaking as an apple fanboy, but a guy who just likes good design.

Funny enough if it was a GSM phone i'd probably get it. Love the screen/hardware/features.

The Palm Pre was actually a pretty nice phone with multi-tasking. And I think Apple hired the guy that did the UI for the Palm Pre.

Whatever. Hopefully it makes apple get into gear to fix this amazing phone!! Once they get back on top of their game, it would be nice to see apple "return fire" lol.

Actually, Palm hired the guy that did the original iOS for the iPhone/iPod Touch to do the WebOS for the Pre (I think the WebOS was really nice)...
I did hear that Apple hired one of the Palm guys after HP bought them...

The Palm Pre was/is a nice phone (although it had MAJOR battery issues and had a very cheap build quality. My friends Palm Pre slideout keyboard literally cracked and nearly broke off), but I grow weary of this iPhone Killer BS...
the Android phones are nice (the Droid phones and the Nexus One and the Evo) but IMO they are far from being iPhone Killers and ALL of them have had various production issues...
Like I said, the iPhone isn't going away any time soon (nor is it's app store or market share)

Who needs another cell phone to be an "iPhone killer"?

I can kill my iPhone 4 with my fingertip...

Wow. That is the kind of visually exciting ad that readers will stop and look at, read, and totally get stoked for Droid.

If a crime has been committed with this ad, it's not shots, it's felony boredom.

Individual devices don't have to sell that much. There are over a million Android devices of all types being activated each week now.

PS. Surprised no one's mentioned the "Summer of Droid" campaign, and Verizon's new "Rule the Air" slogan.

(Thank goodness they seem to have retired that "Can you hear me now" geek.)
