I've already ordered and received a Spigen clear case for the iPhone 7 Plus that I'm ordering tonight. Thinking about the jet black (if available), but I'm trying to visualize how it would look inside a clear case. I know the lighter colors (gold, silver) would look fine, but not sure about the jet black. It's glossy, and so is the case. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Which case. If it's a TPU it would look a bit cloudy. I want a full plastic clear case. Anyone know of one without the tup bumpers?

I was considering jet black with a clear spigen case but I'm concerned whether or not the phone will pick up scratches from removing and putting it back in the case.

I once had a clear case, and what would drive me mad was that dust constantly gets under the clear case and so you need to keep taking the case off and cleaning it, which can be a pain, or else you can see the dust.

With a regular case, you can't see the dust, so it doesn't bother me. For that reason alone, I'm probably going to go with the regular black.

Too bad they don't still make a bumper like that head for the iPhone 4. If they made something like that, I'd probably consider the jet black.

Evolutive Labs made an awesome bumper called RhinoShield for the 6+ and 6S+, according to their website, they're going to release a bumper for the 7+ at end of September, begining of Ocrober

What cases is everyone going to get for the Jet Black iPhone 7/7+ I was looking at this case but it covers the back so you can't see the Jet black: https://goo.gl/MasEoy . I want a case that has good drop protection but is clear on the back. How does this case look: https://goo.gl/2Z3Xae

Not sure how I'd feel about the two-piece design of the second one.

I went with this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KU36SES/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had a clear Thin Fit by Spigen for my 6 Plus and 6S Plus that was hard but minimal. They are not offering it in Clear for the 7. Not sure what other options would work. I did see on Amazon some Clear back polycarbonate with TPU sides giving a bit of a rubber impact case with a clear acrylic back. I'd prefer the Thin Fit in Clear.

This is my thoughts on clear cases. They are ugly.

You are covering up your beautiful iphone with what exactly. clear plastic? So you can see it? they get smudgy and small stuff always getting caught up in the little corners doesn't look good need to keep it clean at all times may as well go no case vs clear imo.

I don't understand your point.

Anyway, on a completely unrelated note. My new soft and comfortable leather couch just came in. Doesn't it look awesome? Hey, what are you doing?!? Don't sit on it!!!

My point is I think they are ugly. How did you miss that? Feel free to disagree though.

The idea of getting a clear case, is to see the back of your phone correct? To not hide it.

However, you are covering up the phone, with clear plastic. Not great. May as well go no case if that is the thinking.

Umm the intent is to see the phone and protect it. If I wanted to just protect it(and not see it) I'd get a normal case. And I think the only people who don't use cases on iPhone anymore are macrumors junkies

Here's an iPhone 4 which had a black back under glass, with a clear case on it. Lots of reflections there, along with visible dust under the case. Not sure I like that look, and if you're gonna cover up the jet black with an opaque case, what's the point in getting the jet black?

I agree. I have never liked clear cases, reminds of the old school clear beepers people used to get. Just my opinion though. I'm going jet black most likely but naked, might get one of the new silicone cases just for insurance

This reminds me of my black 3GS when I had a clear case on it. Looks pretty sharp but might have a lot of dust that gets trapped in the back that you can see.
