Yea - same inserts were on the alumacase. Still screwed my reception completely.

Not passing judgement on this case, maybe it DOES work as promised, but I don't put a whole lot of faith in the foam insert solution.

Check this out:

look at the video carefully you would see that there are two connection points on each of the halves... bingo ! alike the iphone 4 antennae themselves ... could this be the solution?

I pulled the trigger on it this morning as well. I ordered the grey one. I hope it works ok. I have between 1 to 2 bars at my house. But around town I get between 3-4 bars. Sometimes on rare occasions I get 5 bars. Anyways the one I relly wanted was the e13ctron s4. This one should tide me over till I get that one. I figure if I have signal issues ill just send it back for a refund! I mean its case-mate. Should be no problem!

i just ordered a grey jett, along with a white hula.. not bad! 2 cases $60 shipped to australia!

Ok. Got my case this afternoon. Pictures will be below. I only have my phone as a camera so there is none with the case on but I couldn't get it on since it broke. More on that in a moment.

First off it is grey and not silver. Like a dark grey. The actual construction upon first impression is great. Feels solid and looks like an extension of the phone. Here's a bunch of the initial pictures before the bad thing happened.

Sorry the pictures are so big.

Ok, here's the issue, there are no instructions. The video makes it look simple so I followed the video. It's not. The black marks at the top and the side are actually very thin plastic grooves that slide the 2 pieces of the top half together. I didn't know that and they So guess what happened. One of them broke as I tried to snap the top and bottom together.

So while the metal portions, including the buttons are well made, the 2 small plastic clips the piece the 2 pieces of the top together are fragile as crap. Do not make the same mistake I did.

I believe you have to separate the top piece in order to get it to snap in right but I will have to wait until I get a replacement. Very disappointed in this case at it looked awesome.

That sucks. Is there any way you test the reception? Hopefully you'll get a replacement soon.

To rapaleeman Your pictures are huge. Try pictureresizer.com

Anyways I did not have this problem at all! I assume you took off the screws to separate both pieces before you put your phone in? Follow the instructions on their website. It is under "JETT case instructions" not the video. It's a pdf downloadable file. Also the two pieces are very sturdy, I don't know how you got the impressions they were not, they are actually have a good weight too them compared to any other case I have had and I've had plenty.

Edit: I'm an idiot. I just saw the other thread.

there is a pdf instruction on their website it doesnt state you have to separate the top piece to install it. im wondering why they make it to be held by a weak plastic instead of just 2 metal pieces being screwed together as a case?

Obviously I took the screws off. Take yours apart and look at the top portion. There are 2 small pieces of plastic that hold the metal pieces together. They are also on the bottom.

Now, mine may have been already broken or partially broken before I tried to put it on.

Also that PDF doesn't show that the pieces are able to be separated. They are. The one side that didn't actually break is able to be slide on and off.

You shouldn't be condescending. It is rude.

Sorry you felt that way, that's why I said "I assume" Maybe yours was damaged. Shoot them an email, they have great customer service.

I've been wanting an aluminum case and I finally decided to buy this one instead of the Element Vapor because of the price and availability.

So far I love it - Very sleek and low profile. I was a little worried that the buttons would make it look cheap and clunky, but they are very sturdy and fit perfectly. I haven't had any issues with signal loss at all.

Anyone considering an aluminum case should definitely look into this case.

I wonder if its any thicker than the Apple Bumper?

I have a proclip mount that works with the Apple Bumper. Curious if I could get this case and still slide it into my Proclip mount.

I'd say it is for sure a little bigger then the apple bumper without a doubt.
