iPhone Jialbreak and unlock iOS 6

I have iPhone 3gs and I am on jailbroken iOS 4.1. I can not restore to any of 5.* version coz there is no remote blob for my iPhone (checked with TinyUmbrella and redsn0w). But there is blob for 6.0.

If I upgrade to 6.0, can I jailbreak and unlock my iPhone 3GS.

I believe I read that there was a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6. Check out reds now..,

If your 3GS has the old bootrom, you can perform an untethered jailbreak. To unlock you can purchase an IMEI unlock off of eBay, or contact your carrier and see what they can do.
