i just applied to four positions in illinois. just wanted to hear if anyone on here has worked at any position at a store and what the experience was like...what you were paid...was it fun...etc. 😕

I didnt work there (Im 13) but I went to one tonight (my 3G iPod is there overnignt 🙁 ) and they were all laughing because they hooked a store 17" pb to the 30" display and were watching something...

But on topic, from what I'v heard to just be a salesman there isnt great pay but its supposed to be a great envirenment with very friendly people.

I was once talking to a Manager at an Apple Store and she said she loved it there and it was lots of fun. I asked about perks and she said she got a discount but couldn't tell me what it was?! Must be something good!!!

That describes pay rates for their retail channel. Genius start about 35k and can make better money elsewhere. I have an interview on thursday for a specialist but i want to move up to Genius as quickly as possibly. My goal is to be Apple Certified by the time i exit college (1 more year). So i would have a BA in Communications and Apple, Portable/Desktop (trained as apple Genius), Server and Client certs as well.
