19:27 on the video broadcast shows some careless mistakes by him and apple.

How about explaining what the mistakes are? I've already watched the video, and only caught one small mistake, just a slip of the tongue. He said iMac when he meant iPod once. Other than that, I thought it was an excellent presentation and it really made me want a new iMac.

When he showed Desperate Housewives on both the iMac and iPod, he paused at the exact same moment. I got the feeling they have yet to work out the bugs or that the actual Housewives show was unavailable at the time of introduction.

The audience didn't seem all that interested in the video iPod or Front Row. And Steve was grasping at straws for video content when he showcased the Tiki TV podcast and the Pixar animated shorts.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on that.

I wonder how much of a laugh everyone had there. :D

Yeah, I noticed that too. Didn't hear any giggles though.

I'm as loyal as the next Mac-head, but if someone at a store tried to sell me an iPod with the pitch that "you can watch episodes of Desperate Housewives on it !!" ... I'd walk away pulling a face of pure bewilderment.

I thought long and hard about the video iPod and Front Row and nothing gets me interested about either's purpose. Design is fine, but I draw the line there.

Look, everyone knows it, but is being too polite to admit it. The 'killer app' for the new 5G video iPods isn't going to be some pointless TV show or ADD-inducing music video clips. It's going to be porn.

At least when people shout "wanker!!" at the next person who pulls a shiny new iPod out of their pocket on the train, they won't be far from the truth. I'll wager there are already "porncasts" being prepared as I type this message.

:p :D

Well, I'd rather watch porn than "Desperate Houswives".

As a piece of hardware the new ipod is exciting, but the programs I watch are pretty unlikely to make it on the iPod if licensing is done on a show-by-show basis. They'll be a lot of mainstream TV available, but I won't be able to watch Myth Busters, the History Channel or Top Gear.

You don't have to buy "Desperate Housewives" from apple, one could easily convert the latest Porn dvd or Looney tunes episode to mp4 and upload on to the ipod.

160MB and 250MB HD's

You it's funny when I first watched the Keynote I didn't even catch the error, I guess I just read it as "GB".
