These board assignment mean f**k-all in real life. It’s just a bunch of dudes getting tons of money to sit on a meeting quarterly or semi-anually. Nothing more than a profiteering social club.

Almost every major company on it's Wikipedia has a list of bad things they've done in the past, but J&J's are particularly nasty.

Recalls and litigation

1982 Chicago Tylenol murders

2010 children's product recall

2010 hip-replacement recall

I don't think there is anyone on the AAPL Board who has ANY Electrical / Electronic Engineering OR Software Development experience.

That's one of the main problems with AAPL !

The Board doesn't have the Experience OR Knowledge to know what's right.

Yay, middle-aged white guy.

Tim once again proving his activism is for the little people.

His race and age are the least of your worries. If you think any of that matters then you better wake-up fast, and not in the knitted pink hat sense of the word.

Sounds like a lot of commenters on this thread seem not to know what the board of a publicly-traded company actually does. The board provides an important check on the officers of the company, for example in the case of large-scale business decisions such as a significant acquisition. Since Apple has increasingly been involved in health-adjacent products recently, adding a board member who is a affiliated with a major public company in the healthcare space makes a ton of sense, and Gorsky in particular will have experience navigating legal and regulatory pitfalls in a high-profile and highly-regulated environment. He seems to check a lot of boxes for Apple that needed to be checked.

Also, serious props to Gorsky for knowing how to wear a suit.

Steve Jobs: "Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life? Or do you want to come with me and change the world?"

Tim Cook: "Do you want to sell soap for the rest of your life? Or do you want to come with me and change the world?"

We need shampoo to care the Apple Car.

Yikes. More business incest that helps them all cover for each other, make backroom/illegal deals, establish monopolies, etc. The way of the world. I don't trust any of them!

iVax coming. Will expire in 6 months though.

don't worry you can uncheck "Automatically keep my vax up to date" in system preferences if you don't want that crap in your body.

He will probably help Apple to create the tech inside our bodies that Jony Ive was talking about in his latest interview. That's great. Cyberpunk, here you come. It's a good move for Apple to work with a company that's been sued and paid billions for fines because they lie, corrupt and make harmful products. If they want to pair with someone truly great they should work with Pfizer, as they are the best at this practices. Just this year J&J $2 billion fine and Pfizer well over $2 billion. This stinks big time.
It could be great, but you'll be paying whopping subscriptions for this thing that's stuck in your body. The world of profiteering and rent seeking over doing good, has gone to hell.

I’m pleased at the sentiment offered by most people here... It’s encouraging to see. I personally think Apple should steer well clear of associating with Big Pharma or anyone from Big Pharma... They’re crooks.
The media is assuming vaxxed = pro vax mandates. From what I can see, there are more of us than they are leading us to believe.
