Joining 4 mp4 files together.

What's some good free or cheap software for doing this? I tried iMovie and for some reason the audio messed up.

Avidemux is reasonable for that and many other things.

Try using Audacity, it's free open source and works well. https://www.audacityteam.org

Quicktime can do this, just drag the files into the timeline then save

Good catch. I didn't notice the mp4 question. So no, Audacity is great working with audio but does not do video files. Thanks for pointing that out.

Unfortunately the app always crashes when I add a file to it, I couldn't find a fix.

I will try Quicktime.

For some reason 3 of the 4 mp4 files within the exported file don't have sound. I give up!
