You can't by it though. Think they are having issues. As according to the site at present the VAT payment in the UK will be £300 on the lowest spec 27".

Nice a intel 10th Gen CPU. With bootcamp, Microsoft Flight Simulator should run very good in two weeks. :) A nice upgrade. And a very nice Radeon Pro 5700 XT GPU nice nice! 16GB of video memory also!

Did you not just recently read the article about Steve Jobs manipulating Amazon and giving them more money? He was about profit to.

People have a fictionalized version of their heros and that's what they then compare everyone else to.

Press release:

It's going to be a long wait for an ARM iMac....

I wouldn't expect it for up to another year. Meanwhile that 21.5 inch model just lurches along with ancient internals and a huge profit margin.... with its 720P FaceTime Camera and Bluetooth 4.2.... Pathetic.

Once again another what a joke of an upgrade.
Why update an ugly model that is outdated with a thick bezzel?
8GB ram on all models? entry level 256 SSD.Really?
As always Apple cheaping in and and forgetting we are in 2020.

Well I can get whining about no redesign but I hardly think there would be any redesign at this stage even if SJ were still here since they obviously adjust the lineup for the transition to arm. The iMac will have to wait since they sell more notebooks than desktops.

The education market for example will still buy it to replace old hardware or where the lease is finished. Or simply those who don’t care about design (bezels) that much.

What does he mean by "Sorry Tim"

When he leaked the iPhone SE date, during the press call, all press was directly asked by Tim Cook “does anyone know Jon Prosser”

And through his leaks, especially after the Apple glass one, apparently and understandably he’s not very popular there

So it’s turned into a bit of a gag when he leaks something he knows for sure

By the way, he MacRumors, he originally said last week new iMacs were coming this week

Not that your statement conflicts with this, but I do think Jobs had a genuine interest in making great products for their own sake. I don’t think he wanted just to make great products or just to make profits. I think he wanted to do both. I don’t think all executive want great products for their own sake. So Jobs was different even if he was not completely different.

Probably attempting to be coy, “OOOOOH Timmy Boy, you can’t hide your secrets from me!”
And then, Apple announces an update to the iMac Pro that Prosser DIDN’T know about :D

The tongue in cheek thing is a bit of a tongue in cheek gag for his fans yes, but not for the reasons you mentioned...I posted above what the history is behind it

Prosser forgets he's wrong most of the time and tries to be cocky. Why anyone listens to him is beyond me.

He’s actually one of the more reputable and accurate leakers. He’s got a few things wrong, but he’s more right than he is wrong. He also lost one of his sources (Apple caught them) after the whole AirPower debacle

But why people think he’s cocky and wrong most of the time, I’ll never understand. He has a character in his videos that rubs some people the wrong way, or they interpret him as being cocky, but if you listen to him he’s a down to earth chap, much more than the narrative online that exists of him, and he leaks. That’s his thing now. Not even Gurman has a 100% record.

He get a lot of unnecessary hate, I wonder if it’s because of the 9to5mac thing

That’s just sad. Was really looking forward to a new design.
It's coming next year with Apple Silicone — it makes no sense to change the design when you know you are releasing a new model with new chip architecture — it's better the last Intel model keeps the old design so there is a visual distinction between the two at a glance.
