Why are most of the pics my wife takes on her 5s saved in a PNG format instead of JPG? That is a format not supported in most apps.
I looked at her settings in pictures/camera but they are the same as mine. The only difference is she has the grid turned on.
 
Found the reason.
Sometimes she takes a picture, enlarges it and then takes a picture of that.
Problem solved, life is good again.
