So JPMorgan has relased latest predictions of iPhone updates.

What does everyone think of this? Is this Apple's attempt to get some "bad leaks" to distract competitors? Or is this something that Apple was planning before anticipating Samsung to come out with the Galaxy S8?

There is absolutely no reason to bundle something in for free that is selling so well it has a 6 week back order months after launch.

I've wondered why Apple would give away wireless headphones since they own Beats. Seems to be against their own self interest.

The only way Apple includes AirPods with an iPhone is if:

A) they make another SKU for a bundle, perhaps offering a slight discount rather than buying separately. (Kinda like how you can buy an iPad for a certain price, OR add ~$120 more to include LTE)
B) This godPhone 8 has a single, very expensive model where AirPods are included for the ultimate premium experience.

I could see this happening. If OLED displays are reserved for the high end model due to production constraints, throw in some AirPods and sell the package at top tier prices.

Rumors come and rumors go, though this one just seems so contradictory and so strangely put together one cannot help but wonder if this is a fabricated rumor designed to intentionally mislead, or be based on outdated information prior to a shift in strategy. If it is the latter, thank goodness Samsung is around to keep Apple on their toes.
